Led by Connection, Grown by Many.
Rainbow Entrepreneur Collective is a queer-led space rooted in connection and care. We organize in circles, not ladders — guided by shared values, group decision-making, and trust in one another’s lived wisdom. Our strength is in how we listen, how we show up, and how we keep building together.
Who This is For
This is a place for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks dreaming, leading, and creating on their own terms. Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur, a curious side-hustler, or someone imagining your first venture, you'll find connection and inspiration here. Our gatherings are designed for cross-pollination — where fresh ideas meet lived experience, and everyone learns from each other. You don’t have to “join” anything — just show up as you are, when you’re ready.
It All Started With a Circle
Rainbow Entrepreneur Collective began when a group of queer entrepreneurs and business leaders sat in a circle and shared stories. What we found there wasn’t just connection — it was relief, resonance, and recognition. We knew there were already great organizations out there doing important work for queer-owned businesses. But we saw a need for something different: a place to be real, to grow as people, and to build leadership from the inside out. We kept gathering, kept listening, and kept inviting others in.
Everything we’ve built since has grown from that same spark.
Our Steering Committee
Held By Many Hands
Our current Steering Committee is made up of community members who bring heart, thoughtfulness, and vision to our gatherings. We approach leadership as a practice of service, transparency, and reciprocity. Committee members rotate as the needs of our collective shift, and each voice in this circle helps shape what comes next.

Parker Green McLean
THEY/HE
Parker is a queer creative facilitator, brand strategist, and co-founder of Harc Creative, where he partners with his husband Jarren to help teams unlock their voice and align from the inside out. Their work centres clarity, courage, and human connection—especially for those often left out of traditional business spaces.
Co-founding the Rainbow Entrepreneur Collective came from a deep need to feel less alone. As openly gay entrepreneurs, Parker and Jarren longed for a space where 2SLGBTQIA+ business owners could show up fully, be seen, and share generously. So they built it.
At REC, Parker brings his gift for listening and his passion for voice liberation to create brave, connective gatherings. No panels, no pitches—just honest conversation, mutual mentorship, and circles of care.
Parker believes we do our best work when we don’t have to shrink to fit. Through REC, he’s helping create a world where queer entrepreneurs can lead with heart, share with candour, and shine without apology.

Jarren MacDougall
HE/HIM
Jarren is a queer entrepreneur, certified Executive Coach (CEC, ACC), facilitator, community builder and co-founder of the Rainbow Entrepreneurs Collective.
He helped start REC because he knows how isolating entrepreneurship can feel — especially when you don’t see yourself reflected in traditional business spaces. What he wanted (and couldn’t find) was something more human: a place for real conversations, deep connection, and space to show up as yourself. So he got together with a few likeminded folks and built it.
Jarren brings over 15 years of experience in brand strategy, coaching, and facilitation. As co-director of Harc Creative, he works with purpose-led people and organizations to clarify their story, align with their values, and move forward with confidence. Whether supporting senior leaders, creative entrepreneurs, or grassroots teams, he leads with curiosity, care, and deep listening.
At the heart of it all is a belief: business doesn’t have to be performative. It can be connective, grounded, and even joyful — especially when we do it in community.
